今天分享来自台湾的汪培珽的《培养孩子的英文耳朵》这本书的读书笔记,这本书是台湾十年来最富有影响,销售量第一的亲子教育系列书籍,也是华人世界最经典的亲子英文早教书。跟盖兆泉老师的《做好自己对号的英语规划师》的相比,这本书最吸引我的地方在于它能治疗焦虑。
我们这一代父母都非常重视英语,从启蒙到自拼到初章,一刻都不敢松懈,生怕孩子启蒙晚了,跟不上同龄人的脚步。但英语只是一门语言,是与世界接轨的语言工具,我们到底该花多少时间呢?如果事必躬亲,连英文书也要念,真的要累死妈妈吗?每天给孩子念英文书,真的会有效果吗?
上述的种种焦虑与困惑,作者通过自己的亲生经历,在这本书里给出了自己的看法和意见。这本书共10章,围绕“孩子英文耳朵”展开,即为什么培养?如何培养?培养中的Q&A,以及她的书单。每一章都能帮你消除一点焦虑,增添一点信心。
在第一章,作者就将喂“英文故事书”长大的孩子的每一个成长过程做了概述。
婴儿时期:任何一种语言对婴儿来说,统统都差不多。于是,给孩子读中文故事书的同时,也要读英文故事书。
幼儿时期:故事书也要随着孩子长大,变长,变复杂。

在第二章中,作者围绕怎么读英文故事书展开,简单概括分三步。
第一步:一句英文一句中文,这里英文完全照书读,中文翻译要口语化,不用拘泥于逐词翻译,除非孩子问问题,否则不要自行加上中文解释。
第二步:一英一中读完3次,以后只读英文。次数可以视孩子的接受程度灵活调整,不必刻板追求3次。
第三步:每本读熟了,再加下一本。所谓的书读百遍其义自见,就是这个道理。
父母在读英文书之前也要做好功课,要确认单词发音,不要忽略尾音,气音,对于难念的英文名字,尽力拼音,并保证每次发音一致。
作者强调学习语言,必须遵循听说读写的规律,循序渐进才是教养的正确方向,也是帮助孩子保持学习兴趣的最自然方法。作为父母,要给孩子“听”的环境,只要肯花时间和力气,就可以把孩子的英文听力教给孩子。
在听这个环节,我谈点我个人的看法。1,我也非常主张给孩子听英文原版音频,也就是所谓的磨耳朵。但我认为磨耳朵必须是孩子可理解的情况下输入才会有效果,单纯的盲听只能是背景音乐,即便坚持了也没有太大意义。2,要做到让孩子理解,就必须有一定的视觉刺激。举个例子,比如你让孩子听一首儿歌,歌中的单词孩子都不明白,家长逐句解释后,孩子当时记住了。但将相同的单词换一个语境,孩子可能又茫然了。这时候如果给孩子看看这首歌的图片,视频,通过视觉刺激,孩子就会记得非常深刻。即便换了语境,也能立马想起图片或者视频,可以立即联想到词意。
学校可以教孩子读字,写字的方法和技巧,但无法保证孩子学习的热情。兴趣和热情是家长必须小心呵护,耐心培养的。
在第五章,作者对上全美幼儿园的孩子的英文问题做了探讨,我就不一一列举。
第六章,是汪培珽的私房英文书单,从0岁到5岁,每个阶段的书单都有,篇幅很长,我就不做搬运工了。大家自己去看书吧。关于书单我也简单说两句我的看法:1,任何名家的书单都只能做参考,不能完全照搬。因为每个孩子都不一样,生长环境不一样,接受程度不一样,喜好也不一样。家长尽可能从孩子感兴趣的方面着手选书。2,书买回家一定要发挥其自身的作用,如果买书时家长满腔热情,买了后就让书吃土落灰,那再好的书单也无法让你的孩子受益。
第七章,作者阐明了学英文的原因,即为了和世界沟通,只会死记硬背,考试,不算真的学会英文。之所以用故事书学英文,是因为故事书是最有趣,最生活化的学习渠道,故事书给孩子的不只是英文,还有无穷的人生乐趣。
第八章,作者建议家长给孩子配合音频听故事,不仅可以训练扎实而内化的听力,学习纯正的腔调和发音,也可以累积语言的能量与潜力。

During this term, I have read a novel The Red and the Black. The novel was written by the French writer Stendhal in the 19th century. Marie·Henri Beyle, better known by his pen name Stendhal, was one of the critical realism French writers in the 19th century . The military and theatrical worlds of the First French Empire were a revelation to Beyle. Known for his acute analysis of his characters psychology and reflection of society, he is considered one of the earliest and foremost practitioners of realism in his two novels Le Rouge et le Noir (The Red and the Black, 1830) and La Chartreuse de Parme (The Charterhouse of Parma, 1839). Stendhal laid down for himself in a diary entry of May 1804:“regard everything Ive read to date about man as a prediction; believe only what I have seen for myself. Joy, happiness, fame, all is upon it.” Futurity call it realism creation method. In France, Stendhal was the first litterateur to reveal corruption of the bourgeoisie through literature.
The novel marks the beginning of realism. André Gide said that The Red and the Black was a novel ahead of its time, that it was a novel for readers in the twentieth century. In Stendhals time, prose novels included dialogue and omniscient narrator descriptions; his great contribution to literary technique was describing the psychologies (feelings, thoughts, inner monologues) of the characters, resultantly he is considered the creator of the psychological novel.

But she could not forget her master. So, at last, she visited her master. At that time, her master’ house was burnt down and he became handicapped. His mad wife died in the big fire. Jane decided to get married with him and look after him. Jane Eyre found his real love and she was a happy woman. The most important thing is that Jane believed everybody were equal. Do you think so?

Main Characters: the little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc.
Despite Ive not in my childhood yet, I still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. This summer Ive review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. Its the world-famous fairy-tale by the French author, Antoine de St-xupery, The Little Prince.
As many other fairy-tales, the outline of The Little Prince is not very complex. “I”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the Sahara. In this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the Asteroid B612. The little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. In that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.
On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. Following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the Sahara, on the earth.
Traveling on the earth, the little prince, who sees a garden of five-thousand roses, is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considers his rose is unique in the universe before. At that time a fox appears. The fox, who tell the little prince about the meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his new friend. At the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his rose and tamed by him. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose.
