Robinson Crusoe Robinson Crusoe was written by Daniel Defoe. It tells the story of a young explorer who becomes marooned on a deserted island. His experiences of the island change his outlook on life. The story takes place in the 1700’s on a deserted island somewhere off the coast of Brazil. The island is fairly large in size and has a small shore. The interior of the island has many trees, wild pigs and other small animals and a small cave in which Crusoe stores food. “I walked about the shore lifting up my hands. Look around, I see nothing but water, a forest, and the remains of my ship.
At first, I was afraid of wild animals but after some exploration of the land, the only animals I had seen were wild pigs, squirrels, and some small birds.” The only possessions that Crusoe retrieved from the remains of his ship were a small knife, a box of tobacco, a pipe, and a small book that would later become his journal. The Book Report about The Red and the Black
The Red and the Black is the representative work of the Franch writer Stendhal. Since published in 1830, it has won the hearts from many youngsters in every country.
According to the name of this book, The Red and the Black, I think that “the red” means the ambition of Julien, and “the black” means the dark social reality of that age. In the end of the book, the darkness ruined Julien’s ambition.
In my opnion, Julien’s life was as short as fireworks, but was also as splendid as the shooting shostars. He had experienced two unordinary tragic love affairs, each of which had changed his life deeply. Although he was not a perfect person, neither a great man, he was the embodiment of his class. He was clever and aspiring; he seemed Napoleon as his director in spirit; and he had a strong will to achieve his goal. When I read the words that describe the scene of his death, I feel deeply pitiful to him.
We are lucky because our society is fairer and freer. So we have more chances of success. We should learn from Julian about his aspirng character and his strong will.

In the summer vacation, I read a book which is called “The Christmas Carol”. It is written by Charles Dickens, a famous English writer.
The story is about Ebenezer Scrooge, a miser. Scrooge always said about Christmas, “Bah，humbug”. He also didn’t like spending money and giving money away even more. Marley used to be the partners with Scrooge. Unfortunately, he died 7 years ago. One day, Maley’s ghost came to his home and told Scrooge three Christmas ghost would come to his home. Firstly, Ghost of Christmas Past came. He showed Scrooge how he became a miser from a happy boy. Then, Ghost of Christmas Present came. He showed his employee and his nephew’s happy lives. Finally, Ghost of Christmas Future came. He took Scrooge to his grave in his future and showed him his lonely death is the result of his mean and miserly life. In the next morning, Scrooge understood. He changed his living way and became generous. He donated money to the charity organization.
I think it is a good story. It tells us to be generous and help other people more. To be miserly and mean only do harm to other people and ourselves. Helping others is a very good virtue. It makes you feel good, make others feel warm and make others remember you. As so many advantages, why you don’t do this?

Though she initially called it Elinor and Marianne, Austen jettisoned both the title and the epistolary mode in which it was originally written, but kept the essential theme: the necessity of finding a workable middle ground between passion and reason. The story revolves around the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne. Whereas the former is a sensible,， rational creature, her younger sister is wildly romantic--a characteristic that offers Austen plenty of scope for both satire and compassion. Commenting on Edward Ferrars, a potential suitor for Elinors hand, Marianne admits that while she "loves him tenderly," she finds him disappointing as a possible lover for her sister.

Two were mice named “Sniff” and “Scurry”. Two were little people named “Hem” and “Haw”. Every morning, the mice and the little people went to Cheese Station C where full of cheese. One morning, Sniff and Scurry arrived at Cheese Station C and discovered there was no cheese.
They werent surprised,since they had noticed the supply of cheese had been getting smaller every day, they had prepared for this change. They quickly searched for new Cheese. Sniff and Scurry finally found Cheese Station N which was the biggest store of cheese.
Meanwhile,Hem and Haw were anxious and couldnt accept the fact. They just wanted cheese back. Later,Haw decided to go out to find cheese.On the way,Haw kept adjusting himself and tried his best. Finally he found Station N. The three characters had cheese to eat while Hew was still in Station C with no cheese.

If we were a kid, we would never been interrupted by it ,for the kid always focus on something the grown-ups never regard it important in this society ,but they are blinded because it is important to the mind ,maybe growing is a process to the death of mind.
